Internet Users More Focussed The average online session for Internet users went from 90 minutes to 83 minutes during the period of March 2000 to March 2002. Experienced users said that rather than just browsing the Internet, their usage consisted of working from home, checking bank-account balances and making travel reservations. Almost one in three who shopped online, spent less time shopping in "bricks and mortar" stores as a result. (Pew Internet and American Life Project)
