Chairing of the Technology Committee. In 2004, Michael Miller, Set Now's VP and Creative Director, was named the Chair of the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce Technology Committee. The Technology Commitee was created to address the needs of members who have technology questions and are unsure where to turn for objective advice. "Our committee serves as a channel of information that offers help to fellow members as they grow their businesses." says Mr. Miller. "Today's companies are trying to get the most for their technology dollars. This means going far beyond getting a great price today on some new PC's. It means making the right decisions on purchasing (or leasing) systems which allow growth, choosing or building applications that are compatible with existing company systems, and having a plan to recover from technology failure without a loss of business. It means making intelligent decisions on training and sub-contracting, and it means having a plan for the future."
NJAWBO E-Newsletter. Set Now Solutions volunteers as the editor of Mercer
Vision, the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO)
e-newsletter publication. Due to the problems with the mail system
caused by the Anthrax attacks in October 2001, Set Now created
an
online newsletter and an event email notification system. This
system enables cost-effective, safe and timely dissemination of
information, and
promotes interactivity with NJAWBO members and potential members.
Seminars for Trenton Small Business Week, Mercer Business Forum, and NJAWBO. Set
Now has presented to the local community on topics such as "Grow Your Business
Using the Internet: Creating an E-Business Plan" and "Direct Mail
and Email Marketing: Creative Success Secrets". If you are interested in
organizing a seminar or presentation, please call Sarah Miller
at (609)406-1665.
Web Site for the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce. The latest step
in our ongoing effort to promote interactivity between Mercer
County
Businesses is to encourage participation in our online Community
Bulletin Board for Chamber members, which continues to be
one of the most visited features on the chamber site. It is freely
available
to the public via the Internet and serves Mercer County and
the surrounding communities as a resource for area business and community events.
